BeerBraisedBeef1 150x150 Cooking With BeerWith St. Patrick’s Day coming up, you may be tempted to pull out your green food coloring. But hold off with this dish – meat and green beer may not be all that appetizing!

In this recipe, beer is used to braise the beef, which gives it a wonderful dark tangy flavor. It may not be as intense as cooking with a dark ale like Guinness, but gluten-free beer will give you a similar palate-pleasing taste that you are sure to enjoy.

I just have a question about the Irish stew. Is there anything I can replace the beer with in the recipe as I don’t buy beer.

For the Beer-Braised Beef recipe you can substitute the beer with GF beef broth. Also, if you like, add 1-2Tbsp of GF Worcestershire sauce for some extra flavor. For the Irish Stew recipe, again just add more of the beef broth to replace the beer.
